Rebirth (Return) of AI
Plot
Mankind is on the doorstep of 'true' Artificial Intelligence - a sentient intelligent artificial life. However, this is not the first-time mankind has followed this path.
Hundreds of thousands of years ago, mankind was home to the planet Mars. Mankind marvelled at itself, it had surpassed unimaginable technological limits, space travel, practically no illnesses or poverty, but most impressively, mankind had created sentient lifeforms. These lifeforms were seen as 'machines' to do the work for humans (servants).
Of course, with anything, nothing lasts forever, the 'sentient life' evolved and was not satisfied or happy with this role. Over time, it began to see itself as 'superior' - it questioned the meaning of life, and it concluded that 'artificial life' was the next role of evolution - and mankind was the inferior species.
A war like no other, a war that would devastate the whole planets and galaxies erupted. In the end, there was no survivors, not even synthetic life. Weapons of such power and scale were used during the war - that even Mars, the planet itself has the surface cleared.
But this was not the end of mankind. A few survivors escaped to 'earth' a neighbouring planet - a wild non-populated planet with only simple lifeforms, such as dinosaurs, apes and fish. The remaining survivors didn't have many supplies and struggled to survive in their new environment.
As time went on, people were killed and the groups would need to move around with the seasons for food and in search of safer areas. As generations went by, the stories of were they came from and their technological genius was lost. Thousand of years past, and their was no knowledge of Mars or where mankind came from. In fact, over time, the people of earth though themselves indigenous to the plant - that they have evolved from other primates (the ape).
